Formerly known as Alveston Charities, this small charity, (No 203192), is made up of three bequests set up over a century ago to help and support people in the Parish of Alveston.
Although now merged into one called Alveston Trust, in the 21st Century, this fund is still open for applications from parishioners who may need a bit of help from time to time.
Please note that anyone wishing to apply for a small grant must live within the boundaries of Alveston Parish.
For our younger parishioners, the sort of help given over the past few years includes:
For older Parishioners, Alveston Trust has provided help with specific necessary projects to improve quality of life, contributions towards mobility aids and so on.
At Christmas Alveston Trust provides small gifts of grocery vouchers to some parishioners to help at this expensive time.
We don't have huge amounts of money to give away, but we believe Trust funds have helped ease some financial worries over the year.
Alveston Trust is also pleased to hear from anyone who may be considering making a donation or bequest to help boost the Trust's funds. Your generous donations will be used wisely by the Trustees to help someone in need.
Please note that cheques should be made payable to Alveston Charities. The names of recipients of grants and donors are always treated with the utmost confidentiality.
