Alveston Twinning Sunday Walk
We meet on the 2nd Sunday of alternate months, e.g. April, June, August. Walks are usually between 4 and 6 miles, usually ending at a pub. Numbers have recently increased and we now have between 14 and 18. New members are always welcome; contact any committee member if you have an interest.
Twinning Walk Sunday 10th June
Met: Coaley Peak car park. We will meet at entrance to car park, so I suggest park as close to entrance as you can.
Start:10.00 for 10.15 ). We will meet on entrance to car park, so I suggest to park as close to entrance as you can.
Distance: Approx 6 mile.
Terrain: fairly flat walk with a couple of gentle inclines and only 2 stiles.
We walk along escarpment woods to Selsey common, across open meadows with far reaching views of Stroud valleys, through a recently developed vine yard and into Woodchester park with a lakeside walk to the Manor where refreshments, hot and cold, can be purchased before the last 30mins walk back to the cars. (shuttle bus sometimes available). We will meet on entrance to car park, so I suggest to park as close to entrance as you can.
